I know that I have told this so many times ,but it is very important and HomeStudioProject stands for this. We live in a privileged time and technology gives us the option to do so many with the less as can be. The same thing happens in our home studio. I have told you over and over again that you don’t have to spend a fortune so you can record your songs from your bedroom and some things are not necessary to have them if you don’t have the space or the money.
For example, today we are going to talk about how easy you can record your electric guitar by using only your amps that comes with your DAW. So the only thing you need to record an electric guitar is obviously your guitar, your audio interface and your DAW.That’s all!
So, you have created an audio track for your guitar (mono,right? 😊) and from the edit channel option a window appears, where you can apply an amp for your guitar. You can choose from various sounds. This plug in will be set on the inserts tab as you can see in the picture below. You have connected your guitar directly in your audio interface with a jack ¼ cable and after checking the input signal you are ready to go!
After finishing your recordings, you can always experiment with the sounds that your amp has before you decide which is the best foe your song. In this particular amp simulator you can modify the presets on eq and you can choose and the cabinet that you like. Where you can do your adjustments also. With simple words you can record your electric guitar with no budget and you can create your own sounds.
Of course any adjustment that you make, you can save it as a preset and use it to another project. Even if this sound doesn’t fit to your next song or you just don’t like it ,at least you have a very good starting point.
